حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ، نَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نَا مُجَمِّعُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ ، قَالَ : " شَهِدْتُ الْحُدَيْبِيَةَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفْنَا مِنْهَا إِذَا النَّاسُ يُوجِفُونَ الأَبَاعِرَ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ بَعْضُ النَّاسِ لِبَعْضٍ : مَا لِلنَّاسِ مَالُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَخَرَجْنَا نُوجِفُ مَعَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى وَجَدْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاقِفًا عِنْدَ كُرَاعِ الْغَمِيمِ ، فَلَمَّا اجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ بَعْضُ مَا يُرِيدُ مِنَ النَّاسِ قَرَأَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَوَفَتْحٌ هُوَ ؟ ، قَالَ : إِي وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُ لَفَتْحٌ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ قُسِمَتْ خَيْبَرُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ عَلَى ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا ، وَكَانَ الْجَيْشُ أَلْفًا وَخَمْسَمِائَةٍ فِيهِمْ ثَلاثُمِائَةِ فَارِسٍ ، قَالَ : فَكَانَ لِلْفَارِسِ سَهْمَانِ ، وَلِلرَّاجِلِ سَهْمٌ " .
Sayyiduna Majma’ bin Jariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I participated with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the expedition of Hudaybiyyah. When we returned from there, people began racing their camels. Some people asked others: What has happened to these people, are they going towards the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? We set out and found the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) staying at the place of Kara’ al-Ghamim. When some people who were heading towards him gathered there, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this verse: “Indeed, We have given you a clear victory.” The narrator states: Then one of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: Is this a victory? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: “Yes! By Him in Whose hand is my soul! This is a victory.” The narrator states: Then the spoils of Khaybar were distributed among those who participated in the expedition of Hudaybiyyah. Eighteen shares were made; the army numbered fifteen hundred, of whom three hundred were horsemen, so the horsemen were given two shares each and the foot soldiers were given one share each.
