نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الآدَمِيُّ ، نَا فَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْهَرَوِيُّ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا وَصِيَّةَ لِوَارِثٍ " ، الصَّوَابُ مُرْسَلٌ.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "There can be no bequest for an heir." The narration being "mursal" is correct.
