الْقَاتِلُ لَا يَرِثُThe killer does not inherit
Hadith 4147

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا ، نَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ النَّسَائِيُّ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ ، أنا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْقَاتِلُ لا يَرِثُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : إِسْحَاقُ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ ، أَخْرَجْتُهُ فِي مَشَائِخِ اللَّيْثِ لِئَلا يُتْرَكَ مِنَ الْوَسَطِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The killer does not become the heir (of the murdered)." Abu Abdur Rahman says: The narrator named Ishaq is abandoned in hadith; I have narrated from him among the shaykhs of Layth so that he does not become abandoned in the middle.
