نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَارِسِيُّ ، نَا مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ ، نَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : " أَعْطَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلاثَ جَدَّاتٍ السُّدُسَ ، اثْنَتَيْنِ مِنْ قِبَلِ الأَبِ ، وَوَاحِدَةً مِنْ قِبَلِ الأُمِّ " .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that three grandmothers be given one-sixth share; two of them were from the father's side and one was from the mother's side (i.e., two paternal grandmothers and one maternal grandmother).
