Tawoos narrates: Abu Sahba asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): "I ask you by Allah, do you know this matter? In the time of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and in the early period of the caliphate of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and the beginning of Sayyiduna Umar's caliphate (may Allah be pleased with them), three (divorces) were counted as one." So Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) replied: "Yes."
