Jami' bin Umair narrates: Once I, along with my mother and maternal aunt, went to visit Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution for bathing just as he performed ablution for prayer, then he would pour water over his head three times, and we (women) would pour water over our heads five times, because we had our hair tied."
