نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ الْقَاسِمُ " عَنِ الأَمَةِ كَمْ تُطَلَّقُ ؟ ، قَالَ : طَلاقُهَا اثْنَتَانِ ، وَعِدَّتُهَا حَيْضَتَانِ . قَالَ : فَقِيلَ لَهُ : أَبَلَغَكَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا ؟ ، قَالَ : لا " .
Zaid bin Aslam narrates: Qasim was asked about a slave woman, how many divorces can be given to her? He replied: "She can be given two divorces and her waiting period (‘iddah) will be two menstrual cycles." The narrator states: He was asked: Has any hadith regarding this reached you from the Prophet (peace be upon him)? He replied: "No."
