حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الصَّوَّافُ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَأُولاتُ الأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَنْ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ سورة الطلاق آية 4 لِلْمُطَلَّقَةِ ثَلاثًا ، أَوْ لِلْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا ؟ ، قَالَ : هِيَ لِلْمُطَلَّقَةِ ، وَالْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا ".
Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I submitted to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (The command of Allah, the Exalted, is:) "And the waiting period of pregnant women (ends) when they deliver their burden." Is this ruling for a woman who has been divorced three times, or for a widow? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is for both the divorced woman and the widow."
