نَا نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي عِيسَى ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ . ح وَنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا كَانَتِ الْحُرَّةُ تَحْتَ الْمَمْلُوكِ فَطَلاقُهَا تَطْلِيقَتَانِ ، وَعِدَّتُهَا ثَلاثُ حِيَضٍ ، وَإِذَا كَانَتِ الْمَمْلُوكَةُ تَحْتَ الْحُرِّ فَطَلاقُهَا تَطْلِيقَتَانِ ، وَالْعُدَّةُ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: "When a free woman is the wife of a slave, the woman can be given two divorces, and her waiting period (‘iddah) will be three menstrual cycles. And when a slave woman is the wife of a free man, she can be given two divorces and her waiting period, according to her status as a slave woman (i.e., two menstrual cycles), will be observed."
