نَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ، نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ قَرِينٍ ، نَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي عَمٌّ لِي : " اعْمَلْ لِي عَمَلا حَتَّى أُزَوِّجَكَ ابْنَتِي ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنْ تُزَوِّجْنِيهَا فَهِيَ طَالِقٌ ثَلاثًا ، ثُمَّ بَدَا لِي أَنْ أَتَزَوَّجَهَا ، فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ لِي : تَزَوَّجْهَا ، فَإِنَّهُ لا طَلاقَ إِلا بَعْدَ نِكَاحٍ " ، فَتَزَوَّجْتُهَا فَوَلَدَتْ لِي سَعْدًا وَسَعِيدًا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My uncle said to me, "Work for me, so that I may marry my daughter to you." I said, "If you marry me to her, then she will have three divorces." Later, I felt it appropriate to marry that woman, so I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked him about this matter. He said to me, "Marry that woman, because divorce can only be given after marriage." So I married that woman, and Sa'd and Sa'id were born to me.
