نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، نَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحْوَهُ . قَالَ حُمَيْدٌ : قَالَ لِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ : وَأَيُّ حَدِيثٍ لَوْ كَانَ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ مَعْرُوفًا ؟ قُلْتُ : هُوَ جَدِّي ، قَالَ يَزِيدُ : سَرَرْتَنِي الآنَ صَارَ حَدِيثًا.
The same narration is transmitted with another chain. Humaid reports: Yazid bin Harun said to me, "How excellent this hadith would be, if its narrator Humaid bin Malik Lakhmi were well-known." So I said, "He is my grandfather." Then Yazid said, "You have pleased me, you have pleased me; now this hadith has become (authentic)."
