Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the morning prayer. He had performed ghusl (ritual bath) for janabah, but there was a spot on his blessed body about the size of a coin that had remained dry and water had not reached it. It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! Water has not reached this spot." So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) dripped water from his hair onto that spot and wiped it with his hand; he did not repeat the prayer. The narrator of this report, Mutawakkil bin Fudayl, is weak. The same narration is transmitted with another chain, in which one of the narrators is abandoned in hadith.
