Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Umm Kulthum (may Allah be pleased with her) informed me from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about a person who has intercourse with his wife and then withdraws before ejaculation, "Is ghusl (ritual bath) obligatory upon him?" At that time, Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was also sitting there, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I and she (meaning Sayyidah Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her) sometimes do this, but then we perform ghusl."
