Nafi' reports: During the blessed time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Abdullah bin Umar gave his wife one divorce while she was in a state of menstruation. Umar mentioned this matter to the Prophet (peace be upon him), (after which he narrated the hadith as before). The narrator named Ibn Abi Dhi'b has transmitted these words in the narration: It was one divorce. (The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said): "This is the way about which Allah has commanded that women should be divorced accordingly."
