Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) had divorced his wife while she was menstruating. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should take her back, and when she becomes pure, then he may divorce her, when she is in a state of purity or pregnancy."
