نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ ، نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ ، نَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ مُحْرِزٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ النَّخَعِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَ الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا أَنْ تَعْتَدَّ فِي غَيْرِ بَيْتِهَا إِنْ شَاءَتْ " ، لَمْ يُسْنِدْهُ غَيْرُ أَبِي مَالِكٍ النَّخَعِيِّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَمَحْبُوبٌ هَذَا ضَعِيفٌ أَيْضًا.
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed a widow: "If she wishes, she may spend her waiting period (iddah) somewhere other than her home." This narration has only been transmitted with a chain by Abu Malik Nakhai, and this narrator is weak; the narrator named Mahbub is also weak.
