Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "A slave man can (at most) marry two women at the same time, and he can give two divorces. The waiting period (‘iddah) of a slave woman is two menstrual cycles, and if she does not menstruate, then it will be two months." (The narrator is in doubt, perhaps the words are:) "It will be one and a half months."
