نَا نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، نَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ ، أنا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ ، أَنَّ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَعُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ ، كَانَا يَقُولانِ " فِي الرَّجُلِ : يَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ أَرْبَعُ نِسْوَةٍ فَيُطَلِّقُ إِحْدَاهُنَّ الْبَتَّةَ " يَتَزَوَّجُ إِذَا شَاءَ ، وَلا يَنْظُرُ أَنْ تَنْقَضِيَ عِدَّتُهَا " .
Qasim bin Muhammad and Urwah bin Zubair say: If a person has four wives and he gives an irrevocable divorce to any one of them, he may marry (a fourth woman) whenever he wishes; he does not have to wait for the (‘iddah) waiting period of his former wife to end.
