نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ بُهْلُولٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِسُفْيَانَ : " يُزَوِّجُ الرَّجُلُ كَرِيمَتَهُ مِنْ ذِي الدِّينِ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنِ الْمَنْصِبُ مِثْلَهُ ؟ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ " .
Ishaq bin Bahlul narrates: I said to Sufyan, "If a person is not equal to a girl in terms of status, can someone marry his (sister or daughter) to a religious (but lesser in financial or familial status) person?" He replied, "Yes."
