Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her (i.e., Sayyidah Barirah, may Allah be pleased with her) the choice. Her husband was a slave. (Sayyidah Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, says) If her husband had been a free man, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not have given her the choice.
