Hadith 373

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَكِيلُ ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، نا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ أُذُنَيْهِ ظَاهِرَهُمَا وَبَاطِنَهُمَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ كَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِالأُذُنَيْنِ " .
Humaid narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) performing ablution; he wiped the inner and outer parts of his ears and then explained: "Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to command the wiping of both ears."
