نَا نَا ابْنُ غَيْلانَ ، نَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ ، نَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ شُرَيْحٍ ، قَالَ : " هُوَ الزَّوْجُ إِنْ شَاءَ أَتَمَّ لَهَا الصَّدَاقَ " ، وَكَذَلِكَ قَالَ نَافِعُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ ، وَطَاوُسٌ ، وَمُجَاهِدٌ ، وَالشَّعْبِيُّ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ ، وَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، وَعَلْقَمَةُ ، وَالْحَسَنُ : " هُوَ الْوَلِيُّ ".
Qadi Shurayh says: "This refers to the husband, meaning if he wishes, he may pay the woman the full dowry." The Shaykh says: Nafi' bin Jubayr, Muhammad bin Ka'b, Tawus, Mujahid, Sha'bi, and Sa'id bin Jubayr have narrated similarly. Ibrahim, Alqamah, and Hasan al-Basri say: "This refers to the guardian."
