Hadith 372

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، إِمْلاءً ، نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، نا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّهُ " كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَيَمْسَحُ ظَاهِرَ أُذُنَيْهِ وَبَاطِنَهُمَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ " . قَالَ ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ : هَذَا يَقُولُ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، وَغَيْرُهُ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ مِنْ فِعْلِهِ.
Humaid narrates: When Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) performed ablution, he would wipe over the upper part and the inner part of his ears, and then he used to say: "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this." Other narrators have reported it from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) as the action of Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
