نَا أَبُو عِيسَى يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الدُّورِيُّ ، نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، نَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ هِلالَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ قَذَفَ امْرَأَتَهُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَرِيكِ بْنِ السَّحْمَاءِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْبَيِّنَةُ أَوْ حَدٌّ فِي ظَهْرِكَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُنَا الرَّجُلَ عَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ يَنْطَلِقُ يَلْتَمِسُ الْبَيِّنَةَ ، قَالَ : فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : الْبَيِّنَةُ وَإِلا فَحَدٌّ فِي ظَهْرِكَ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ هِلالُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ : وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ إِنِّي لَصَادِقٌ وَلَيُنْزِلَنَّ اللَّهُ فِي أَمْرِي مَا يُبَرِّئُ بِهِ ظَهْرِي مِنَ الْحَدِّ ، قَالَ : فَنَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ فَأُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ سورة النور آية 6 حَتَّى بَلَغَ وَالْخَامِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ سورة النور آية 9 ، قَالَ : فَانْصَرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِمَا ، قَالَ : فَجَاءَ فَقَامَ هِلالُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ فَشَهِدَ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمَا كَاذِبٌ فَهَلْ مِنْكُمَا مِنْ تَائِبٍ ؟ ، فَقَامَتْ فَشَهِدَتْ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عِنْدَ الْخَامِسَةِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَقِّفُوهَا فَإِنَّهَا مُوجِبَةٌ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : فَتَلَكَّأَتْ وَنَكَصَتْ حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهَا سَتَرْجِعُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ : لا أَفْضَحُ قَوْمِي سَائِرَ الْيَوْمِ ، قَالَ : فَمَضَتْ فَفُرِّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا ، قَالَ : وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَبْصِرُوهَا فَإِنْ هِيَ جَاءَتْ بِهِ " ، قَالَ هِشَامٌ : أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ مثل قَوْلِ مُحَمَّدٍ : " فَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ سَابِغَ الأَلْيَتَيْنِ مُدَمَلْجَ السَّاقَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِشَرِيكِ بْنِ سَحْمَاءَ " ، قَالَ : فَجَاءَتْ بِهِ كَذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلا مَا مَضَى مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ لَكَانَ لِي وَلَهَا شَأْنٌ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Hilal bin Umayyah accused his wife before the Prophet (peace be upon him) of having illicit relations with Sharik bin Sahma. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "You must present evidence, otherwise the punishment for falsely accusing of adultery will be carried out upon you." Hilal said: O Messenger of Allah! If a man sees another man with his wife, should he go out searching for witnesses? The narrator says: The Prophet (peace be upon him) kept saying: "You must present evidence, otherwise the punishment for falsely accusing of adultery will be carried out upon you." The narrator says: Hilal bin Umayyah said: By the One Who sent you with the truth, I am telling the truth, and Allah will surely reveal a command regarding me by which the punishment will not be carried out upon me. The narrator says: Jibreel (peace be upon him) descended and the following verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace be upon him): "And those who accuse their wives..." up to: "The fifth time she says: the wrath of Allah be upon her if he is telling the truth." The narrator says: After this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) called both of them. The narrator says: Hilal bin Umayyah came and stood up and gave testimony. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Allah knows that one of you is lying, so will one of you repent?" Then the woman stood up and also gave testimony. When she was about to say the fifth statement, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Stop her, for the fifth testimony will make the punishment in the Hereafter binding upon her." Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The woman hesitated, she lowered her head until we thought she would retract, but then she said: I will never disgrace my tribe. The narrator says: Then she completed the testimony, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) separated the two of them. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Watch this woman, if she gives birth to such a child..." Hisham, the narrator, says: I think my teacher narrated the words similar to those of Muhammad, the narrator: "And if the woman gives birth to a child with gray eyes, large buttocks, and sturdy legs, then he is the child of Sharik bin Sahma." So the woman gave birth to such a child. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If the command of Allah's Book had not already been revealed regarding this matter, my treatment of this woman would have been different."
