Hadith 3707

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، نَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، نَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَقَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ زِرٍّ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالا : " مَضَتِ السُّنَّةُ فِي الْمُتَلاعِنَيْنِ أَنْ لا يَجْتَمِعَانِ أَبَدًا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: (What he said is mentioned in the next narration) Both Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "The established Sunnah regarding those who perform li'an is that the two can never be together again."
