Hadith 3692

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّاغَانِيُّ ، نَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أنا هُشَيْمٌ ، أنا مُغِيرَةُ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ الْحَارِثَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ الأَسَدِيَّ " أَسْلَمَ وَعِنْدَهُ ثَمَانِ نِسْوَةٍ ، فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنْ يَخْتَارَ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا " .
The narrator named Mughira reports from a man belonging to the descendants of Sayyiduna Harith bin Qais Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him): When Sayyiduna Harith bin Qais Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam, he had eight wives at that time, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him: "He should choose four of them."
