Hadith 3686

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا الرَّمَادِيُّ ، نَا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ، نَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي سُوَيْدٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ لِغَيْلانَ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ حِينَ أَسْلَمَ وَعِنْدَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ : " خُذْ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا وَفَارِقْ سَائِرَهُنَّ " ،.
Uthman bin Abu Suwaid narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ghailan bin Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him), when he accepted Islam and at that time he had ten wives: "Keep four of them with you and separate from the rest."
