نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُوحٍ ، نَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، نَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ . ح وَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أنا سَعِيدٌ . ح وَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، نَا سَعِيدٌ ، نَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أَسْلَمَ غَيْلانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَتَحْتَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَأَسْلَمْنَ مَعَهُ ، فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنْ يَخْتَارَ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا " ، قَالَ الرَّمَادِيُّ : هَكَذَا يَقُولُ أَهْلُ الْبَصْرَةِ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When Sayyiduna Ghailan bin Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam, he had ten wives from the time of ignorance, and those women also accepted Islam with him. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him: "He should choose four of them." The narrator named Ramadi states: The people of Basra have narrated it in the same way.
