Hadith 3684

نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، قَالا : نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، نَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : أَسْلَمَ غَيْلانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الثَّقَفِيُّ وَعِنْدَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خُذْ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا " .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Ghailan bin Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam, and he had ten wives. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him: "Keep four of them of your choice."
