Hadith 3628

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، نَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، نَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " مَا أَعِيبُ عَلَيْهِ فِي خُلُقٍ وَلا دِينٍ وَلَكِنْ أَكْرَهُ الْكُفْرَ فِي الإِسْلامِ ، فَقَالَ : أَتَرُدِّينَ عَلَيْهِ حَدِيقَتَهُ ؟ ، قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : يَا ثَابِتُ ، اقْبَلِ الْحَدِيقَةَ ، وَطَلِّقْهَا تَطْلِيقَةً " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The wife of Sayyiduna Thabit bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She said: "O Messenger of Allah! I do not have any complaint against him regarding his character or religion, but after becoming Muslim, I do not like to be ungrateful to (my husband)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Are you willing to return his garden to him?" She replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Thabit! Take your garden and divorce her."
