Hadith 3626

نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الأَنْمَاطِيُّ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " رَدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنَتَهُ زَيْنَبَ عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِالنِّكَاحِ الأَوَّلِ لَمْ يُحْدِثْ شَيْئًا بَيْنَهُمَا " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent his daughter, Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her), to Sayyiduna Abu al-As ibn al-Rabi' (may Allah be pleased with him) on the basis of the first marriage itself; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform a new marriage for them.
