نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ . ح وَنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَنَّاطُ ، نَا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ ، نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ . ح وَنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَكِيلِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّحَّاسُ ، نَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَأَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَدَّ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَتَهُ عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِنِكَاحٍ " ، هَذَا لا يُثْبَتُ وَحَجَّاجٌ لا يُحْتَجُّ بِهِ ، وَالصَّوَابُ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَدَّهَا بِالنِّكَاحِ الأَوَّلِ، وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيّ فِي قِصَّةِ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ.
Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed the marriage of his daughter, Lady Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her), again with Sayyiduna Abu al-As bin Rabi' (may Allah be pleased with him). This narration is not established; the narration transmitted by the narrator named Hajjaj cannot be presented as evidence. The correct narration is the one transmitted by Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sent Lady Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) to her husband on the basis of the previous marriage. Imam Malik has transmitted this from Zuhri regarding the incident of Safwan bin Umayyah.
