Hadith 3600

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، نَا صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنْكِحُوا الأَيَامَى ، ثَلاثًا ، قِيلَ : مَا الْعَلائِقُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : مَا تَرَاضَى عَلَيْهِ الأَهْلُونَ ، وَلَوْ قَضِيبٍ مِنْ أَرَاكٍ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Marry off the previously married woman." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this three times. The people asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What should be her dowry?" So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever the family is pleased with, even if it is a twig of the pilu tree."
