حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ ، نا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ ، ومُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، قَالا : نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الأُذُنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ " . أَسْنَدَهُ هَؤُلاءِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، وَخَالَفَهُمْ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ حَافِظٌ.
This statement is also narrated with another chain of transmission: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Both ears are part of the head." The narrators have transmitted it in this way on the authority of the narrator named Hammad; however, the narrator named Sulaiman bin Harb has narrated it differently. He is trustworthy and a memorizer (of hadith).
