Hadith 3594

نَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، نَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ ، نَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نَنْكِحُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْقَبْضَةِ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we used to marry in exchange for a handful of grain.
