نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نَا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ رُومَانَ الْمَكِّيُّ . ح وَنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الآدَمِيُّ ، نَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نَا صَالِحُ بْنُ رُومَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلا تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى مِلْءِ كَفٍّ مِنْ طَعَامٍ لَكَانَ ذَلِكَ صَدَاقَهَا " ، قَالَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلا أَعْطَى امْرَأَةً مِلْءَ يَدَيْهِ طَعَامًا كَانَتْ بِهِ حَلالا ".
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person marries a woman on the condition of a handful of grain (as dowry), then this will be considered the dowry." In his narration, Nishapuri has transmitted from Muhammad bin Muslim on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person gives two handfuls of grain (as dowry) to a woman, then that woman becomes lawful for him (i.e., that grain will be accepted as dowry in the marriage)."
