نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْوَرَّاقُ ، قَالا : نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ زَنْجُوَيْهِ ، نَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، نَا رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ نَهَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا جَاءَ بِابْنَتِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " هَذِهِ ابْنَتِي أَبَتْ أَنْ تَزَوَّجَ ، فَقَالَ : أَطِيعِي أَبَاكِ أَتَدْرِينَ مَا حَقَّ الزَّوْجُ عَلَى الزَّوْجَةِ ؟ لَوْ كَانَ بِأَنْفِهِ قُرْحَةٌ تَسِيلُ قَيْحًا وَصَدِيدًا لَحَسَتْهُ مَا أَدَّتْ حَقَّهُ ، فَقَالَتْ : وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ لا نَكَحْتُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لا تُنْكِحُوهُنَّ إِلا بِإِذْنِهِنَّ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with his daughter and said, "My daughter is refusing to get married." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Obey your father's command. Do you know what right a husband has over his wife? If there were a boil on the husband's nose from which pus and matter were oozing, and the woman licked it with her tongue, even then she would not have fulfilled the husband's right." The woman said, "By the One Who has sent you (peace and blessings be upon him) with the truth, I will not get married." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Marry (the girls) with their consent."
