Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: A woman came to meet the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), but the Prophet (peace be upon him) was not present. The woman sat down to wait for him. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) arrived, I said, "O Messenger of Allah! This woman has some matter with you." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked her, "What is your matter?" She replied, "My father married me to his nephew so that his status would be elevated because of me. My father did not seek my consent in this matter. Do I have any authority regarding myself?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Yes." The woman said, "I do not wish to reject what my father has done, but I want women to know whether they have authority regarding themselves or not." The Sheikh says: All these narrations are mursal, because the narrator named Ibn Buraida did not hear hadiths from Lady Aisha.
