نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ ، نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الصَّائِغُ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا هَلَكَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ تَرَكَ ابْنَتَهُ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : زَوَّجَنِيهَا خَالِي قُدَامَةُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ ، وَلَمْ يُشَاوِرْهَا فِي ذَلِكَ وَهُوَ عَمُّهَا ، وَكَلَّمْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ ، فَرَدَّ نِكَاحَهُ ، فَأَحَبَّتْ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ ، فَزَوَّجَهَا إِيَّاهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Uthman bin Maz'un left behind a daughter (after his death). My maternal uncle, Sayyiduna Qudamah bin Maz'un, married her to me; he did not seek the girl's consent in this matter. He was the girl's paternal uncle. The girl spoke to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this matter, so the Prophet annulled her marriage. The girl wanted to be married to Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah, so (the Prophet or Sayyiduna Qudamah) married her to him (i.e., Sayyiduna Mughirah).
