نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، نَا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ يَعِيشَ ، نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : زَوَّجَنِي خَالِي قُدَامَةُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ بِنْتَ أَخِيهِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ ، فَدَخَلَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ عَلَى أُمِّهَا فَأَرْغَبَهَا فِي الْمَالِ وَخَطَبَهَا إِلَيْهَا ، فَرُفِعَ شَأْنُهَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ قُدَامَةُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " ابْنَةُ أَخِي وَأَنَا وَصِيُّ أَبِيهَا وَلَمْ أُقَصِّرْ بِهَا ، زَوَّجْتُهَا مَنْ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ فَضْلَهُ وَقَرَابَتَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّهَا يَتِيمَةٌ وَالْيَتِيمَةُ أَوْلَى بِأَمْرِهَا ، فَنُزِعَتْ مِنِّي وَزَوَّجَهَا الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ " ، لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ مِنْ نَافِعٍ ، وَإِنَّمَا سَمِعَهُ مِنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْهُ . وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْهُ ، وَتَابَعَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: My maternal uncle, Sayyiduna Qudamah bin Maz‘un (may Allah be pleased with him), married me to the daughter of his brother, Sayyiduna Uthman bin Maz‘un (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu‘bah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the mother of this girl and, offering more wealth, proposed marriage for the girl. This matter was presented before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so Sayyiduna Qudamah bin Maz‘un (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “O Messenger of Allah! She is my niece, I am the guardian of her father, I have not wronged this girl, I married her to a person whose virtue and (our) kinship you are also aware of.” So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “She is a girl, and the girl has more right in her matter.” (Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says:) Then her marriage with me was annulled and Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu‘bah (may Allah be pleased with him) married her. The Shaykh says: Muhammad bin Ishaq did not hear this narration from Nafi‘, he heard it from ‘Umar bin Husayn. Ibrahim bin Sa‘d narrated this narration from him in the same way, while Muhammad bin Salamah followed him in narrating it from Muhammad bin Ishaq from ‘Umar bin Husayn.
