نَا نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، نَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ ، ح وَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، نَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، نَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَتْ لِي أُخْتٌ فَخُطِبَتْ إِلَيَّ فَكُنْتُ أَمْنَعُهَا النَّاسَ فَأَتَانِي ابْنُ عَمٍّ لِي فَخَطَبَهَا فَأَنْكَحْتُهَا إِيَّاهُ ، فَاضْطَجَعَهَا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا طَلاقًا لَهُ رَجْعَةٌ ، ثُمَّ تَرَكَهَا حَتَّى انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا فَخَطَبَهَا مَعَ الْخُطَّابِ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنَعْتُهَا النَّاسَ وَزَوَّجْتُكَ إِيَّاهَا ، ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتَهَا طَلاقًا لَهُ رَجْعَةٌ ، ثُمَّ تَرَكْتَهَا حَتَّى انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا ، فَلَمَّا خُطِبَتْ إِلَيَّ أَتَيْتَنِي تَخْطُبُهَا مَعَ الْخُطَّابِ إِنِّي لا أُزَوِّجُكُ أَبَدًا ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ، أَوْ قَالَ أنزلت وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَنْ يَنْكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ سورة البقرة آية 232 ، فَكَفَّرْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِي وَأَنْكَحْتُهَا إِيَّاهُ " ، الْمَعْنَى قَرِيبٌ.
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I had a sister. Some people sent proposals for marriage with her, but I refused them. Then my paternal cousin came to me. He sent a marriage proposal for that girl, so I married her to him. They remained together as long as Allah willed. Then that man divorced the girl, in a way in which he had the option to take her back, but he did not take her back. Until her waiting period ('iddah) passed. After that, other people sent marriage proposals to her, and he (the cousin) also sent a proposal. So I said: I did not marry this girl to any of the other people, and I married her to you, but you divorced her in a way in which you had the option to take her back, but you did not take her back, until her waiting period passed. Now, when proposals are coming for her, you have also sent a proposal. I will never marry her to you. Then Allah Almighty revealed this verse (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words): "When you divorce women and their waiting period is complete, do not prevent them from remarrying their (former) husbands." (Sayyiduna Ma'qil, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates) I offered expiation for my oath and married the girl to that man. The meaning of this narration is (close to) the same.
