نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْهَيْثَمِ الْبَزَّازُ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَطِيرِيُّ ، قَالا : نَا عِيسَى بْنُ أَبِي حَرْبٍ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، نَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا نِكَاحَ إِلا بِوَلِيٍّ وَشَاهِدَيْ عَدْلٍ ، وَأَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ أَنْكَحَهَا وَلِيُّ مَسْخُوطٌ عَلَيْهِ فَنِكَاحُهَا بَاطِلٌ " ، رَفَعَهُ عَدِيُّ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ غَيْرُهُ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There is no marriage without a guardian and two just witnesses. If a woman is married by a guardian with whom she is displeased, then her marriage will be invalid.” The narrator named ‘Adi bin Fadl has transmitted this as a marfu‘ (attributed to the Prophet) hadith, while other narrators have not transmitted it as a marfu‘ hadith.
