Hadith 3501

نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ، نَا أَبِي ، نَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : ذَكَرَ عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : " قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الأَنْفِ إِذَا جُدِعَ كُلُّهُ بِالْعَقْلِ كَامِلا ، وَإِذَا جُدِعَتْ أَرْنَبَتُهُ بِنِصْفِ الْعَقْلِ " .
Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave the verdict regarding the nose that: "When it is completely cut off, its compensation (diyah) will be complete (equal to the full diyah of a life), and if only its front part is cut off, then half the diyah will be given."
