Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "If a camel causes damage at night, its owner must pay compensation for it, but if it causes damage during the day, its owner does not have to pay compensation. If goats cause damage at night or during the day, their owner must pay compensation for it. And a domesticated animal will be handed over to its owners three times; (if it still causes damage) then its legs will be cut off."
