نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ قَطَنٍ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " كَتَبَ لَهُمْ كِتَابًا : فِي الْمُوضِحَةِ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الإِبِلِ ، وَفِي الْمَأْمُومَةِ ثُلُثُ الدِّيَةِ ، وَفِي الْمُنَقِّلَةِ خَمْسُ عَشْرَةَ ، وَفِي الْعَيْنِ خَمْسُونَ مِنَ الإِبِلِ ، وَفِي الأَنْفِ إِذَا أُوعِيَ جَدْعُهُ الدِّيَةُ كَامِلَةٌ ، وَفِي السِّنِّ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الإِبِلِ ، وَفِي الرِّجْلِ خَمْسُونَ ، وَفِي كُلِّ إِصْبَعٍ مِمَّا هُنَالِكَ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الْيَدَيْنِ وَالرِّجْلَيْنِ عَشْرٌ عَشْرٌ " .
Abdullah bin Abu Bakr narrates from his father, from his grandfather: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) wrote for them (dictated a letter): "For a wound that exposes the bone (muwaddiha), the payment is five camels; for a wound that reaches the membrane (māmuumah), one-third of the full blood money is due; for a wound that reaches the brain (munqilah), the payment is fifteen camels; for an eye, the payment is fifty camels; if the nose is completely cut off, the full blood money is due; for a tooth, the payment is five camels; for a foot, fifty camels; for each finger of the hand and foot, the payment is ten camels each."
