نَا نَا أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، نَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ ، نَا الْهِقْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ، " يَجْلِدُ فِي التَّعْرِيضِ الْحَدَّ " .
Hamzah bin Abdullah narrates from his father: Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) used to administer lashes as a ta'zir (disciplinary punishment) for making insinuations (of adultery).
