Hadith 3433

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ مِثْلَهُ ، أَرْسَلَهُ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ . وَقَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ : عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَطَعَ فِي خَمْسَةِ دَرَاهِمَ ".
The same narration is also transmitted with a chain of narration; regarding one chain, it is transmitted: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the hand cut off for theft of an item worth five dirhams.
