Hadith 3420

نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ، نَا ثَابِتٌ ، نَا عِيسَى بْنُ أَبِي حَرْبٍ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، " أَنَّ رَجُلا سَرَقَ مِجَنًّا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُوِّمَ خَمْسَةَ دَرَاهِمَ فَقَطَعَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a man stole a shield, the price of which was five dirhams, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered his hand to be cut off.
