نَا ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ وَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالا : نَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ . ح وَنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، نَا عَمِّي ، نَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، أَنَّ بُكَيْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الأَشَجِّ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَتْهُ ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يُقْطَعُ السَّارِقُ فِيمَا دُونَ ثَمَنِ الْمِجَنِّ ، قَالَ : فَقِيلَ لِعَائِشَةَ : مَا ثَمَنُ الْمِجَنِّ ؟ ، قَالَتْ : رُبْعُ دِينَارٍ " . قَالَ ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لا تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ إِلا فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The thief's hand will not be cut off for stealing something worth less than the price of a shield." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked: What is the price of a shield? She replied: "A quarter of a dinar." In another chain of narration, this statement of Lady Aisha is reported: "I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The thief's hand will be cut off for stealing something worth a quarter of a dinar or more."
