نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا الرَّمَادِيُّ ، نَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، نَا مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قِصَّةَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ فِي السَّارِقِ . قَالَ أَبُو صَالِحٍ : قُلْتُ لِلْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ : يَا أَبَا مُعَاوِيَةَ إِنَّمَا هُوَ سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، فَقَالَ : هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنِي ، أَوْ ، قَالَ : فِي كِتَابِي . سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَجْهُولٌ ، وَالْمِسْوَرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ ، وَإِنْ صَحَّ إِسْنَادُهُ كَانَ مُرْسَلا ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
This same narration is also transmitted from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) through some other chains of transmission, in which there is a difference of opinion regarding one narrator, who has been declared unknown, and it has been indicated that there is a possibility that this narration may be mursal.
